Pujyapad B.S. Damodar Maharaja, a disciple of Srila
Bhakti Suhrit Akinchana Maharaja, resides in Yamuna-kunja.
Damodar Maharaja, who served at Imlitala Gaudiya
Math as
temple president for 28 years, felt the
need for a peaceful place to perform his bhajan and
spend his last days on earth. Maharaja rises early
at 4 a.m. and starts his day by loudly singing the
maha-mantra, his sweet bengali voice reminds us of
Srila B.P. Puri Maharaja. Studies of the scriptures,
chanting, going to Imlitala, Sri Radha Damodar and
Radha Shyamsundar Mandir for darshan, receiving guests
and preaching the glories of devotional service are
his daily activities. Since then also many western
devotees had the opportunity to know Maharaja and
appreciate his simple nature, pure heart and good
advice. Being a true well-wishing friend, everyone
feels spiritually enlivened in his association. |

things in this material world are temporary. Right
now my body functions are leaving me, physically
all goes down. But in Vrindavan we should always
remember our spiritual origin. Then we don’t
suffer. We should remember that all is happening
according to Krishna’s desire. Then there will
be peace. Keep Krishna always in the center. Then
you will never suffer."
